Emerald Eyes
Eric Johnson/Jay Aaron
When I go and I get lonely
I begin to think of you
But I know a dream it's only
And I'm a fool
Papa said that you'd be long gone
And not to waste my time on you
I see you every day in sunshine
Am I fool to you
Do you like it that way
Emerald Eyes, I see you somewhere
Why your eyes so blue?
Love can be like holding your breath
Is that the way fools do. Way fools do
I haven't time to talk about it
But I admit I've been a fool
Though I shouldn't think about it
I need you
Can't stand it baby
Am I a fool to you
Emerald Eyes, I see you somewhere
Why your eyes so blue?
Love can be like holding your breath
Is that the way fools do
Emerald Eyes, I see you somewhere
Why your eyes so blue?
Love can be like holding your breath
Is that the way fools do
Emerald eyes I see you somewhere
Emerald eyes
Emerald eyes
Am I a fool to you
Showdown
Eric Johnson/Jay Aaron
Rose and Marshall Jacob Miller
Lived in Santa Fe
Jacob never wore his side guns
Till news broke out
Black Bart was back in town
Bart was gunning for the sheriff
Revenge burned his eyes
Rosie tried to stop the Marshall
As he left tears fell from her eyes
Showdown in town
Don't you lose your life
Put down your gun
Stay inside tonight
Jacob's men were on the rooftop
with artillery
Shots rang out Bart's men were fallin'
Someone's callin' Marshall's on the ground
And Rose ran up to him and cried
Oh lord
Oh will you ever see
Oh what you mean to me
And will we always be together
Oh together
Showdown in town
Don't you lose your life
Put down the gun
Stay inside tonight
Showdown in town
Lord what have they done
Cause in the end
No one really won
Missing Key
Eric Johnson
You don't want me to tell
You about my emotions
You don't want me to tell you
I still care
Cause when I try hard to tell you
About my devotion
You talk to me, but it's true
You're just not there
oh no
Some people spend all their lives
Inside an illusion
And some of us try to realize
It's there
You know I die when I try to tell you
About the solution
Cause you spell out all the words
My heart can't bare
But I know you're there somewhere
That's why I'm on my own now
I've got to go away
I just can't stay
So all the secrets that I will hide
Just to see you
Will slip inside of my house and
let it be
In the end when I might begin to
Forget you
I'll still be searching to find the missing key
Of you and me babe
I've got to go
Gonna leave today
I can't stay no more
Alone With You
Eric Johnson
Everyday
I'm alone with you
You know that's the only way I get high
My load is light when you shine on through to me
My soul you touch by and by
So all I want is to leave you something
That you'll always remember your life through
My soul you touch when I'm here with you
You know that today you're gonna see
What I say is true
It's just every little thing that you do
And I feel that we could touch the sky
Yes every little thing you do
And you know what I say is true
My soul you help to shine on through
What you do you do
What you do you do when you do yeah
It's just every little thing you do
And you know what I say is true
My soul you help to shine on through
Oh by and by, touch the sky, by and by
By and by, touch the sky, by and by
I Promise I Will Try
Eric Johnson
What is it he must do
Why you so unkind
As not to give him all the truth
When you said you won't lie
Why is it you don't dare
When he's awaiting you
Cause what you say is not enough
As what you try to do
So try
So what is it he must do
Why you so unkind
As not to give him all the truth
When you said you won't lie
What you say is not enough
As what you try to do
Oh, what you say is not enough
As what you try to do
You know it's true
Lord I'm just like you
I promise I will try

Turn The Page
Eric Johnson
Oh Elaine, you've broken my dreams
It's not as it seemed before
I can see it don't mean to you
What it could mean to me
Been a long time, as the road winds
I'm sideways in a great haze
I turn, turn the page
Oh Elaine, I'm going insane
It's cold and the rain won't do
I'm told I must make this turn
I guess it won't be with you
Been a long time, as the road winds
I'm sideways in a great haze
I turn, turn the page
So long, I bid you farewell
I wish you the best, you know
Oh Elaine, if you change your mind
It's me you can find again
Turn, turn the page
A Song for Life

By Your Side
Eric Johnson
When you're sad
Call on me
There I'll be
By your side
All the time
When you need someone else
I will help, till the end, no good-byes
When the fun is left undone
I'm the one, count on me
Cause I'm the one, by your side,
All the time
I'm the one, all the time, by your side
